About this Event
National Catholic Schools Week is coming! (January 28 – February 2) “Catholic Schools Week is annually celebrated in the United States to promote the exceptional education that comes with functioning as a Catholic school. Education has always been a vital part of decision-making for every family and parent and with this week-long occasion, people can have a glimpse of the excellent standards, formation, programs and teaching that Catholic schools can offer.”
As always, St. Stanislaus Kostka CAQN will celebrate its strong tradition of providing a quality Catholic education to our students.
The theme of this year’s celebration in the Diocese of Brooklyn is:
Catholic Imagination: Creating the Future! At St. Stan’s, every effort is made to provide an environment where the rich traditions of the Catholic faith are integrated into each and every subject taught. We encourage and nurture prayer, celebrate holy days, continue faith traditions, and provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for children. These are the ways that we strengthen our students to create a better future for all!
We have planned many special events to celebrate and we invite you to be a part of as many activities as you like. Detailed schedules with all the events for grades K - 8 and for The Early Childhood Program will be shared closer to Catholic Schools Week.
I have attached a preliminary schedule so that you can begin to plan the week, including details for the special “Dress Up” days.
Please make note of the Mass that will begin the week long celebration on Sunday, January 28th @ 9:30 AM at Transfiguration Church. All students and their families are encouraged to attend. The mass will be followed by an Open House at St. Stan's Academy from 11:00 - 1:00. Please tell your friends and neighbors to come to see all of the wonderful things that are happening at St. Stan's.
Parents in Kindergarten - Grade 8 are invited to visit classrooms on Tuesday, January 30th. To ensure that the classes will not be disturbed by people coming and going while the teacher is trying to teach a lesson, there will be two half hour sessions for visits.
Session 1 will begin at 8:30 and end at 9:00
Session 2 will begin at 9:05 and will end at 9:35.
We strongly encourage you to enter the classrooms promptly at 8:30 or 9:05.
